WBSSC Group C and D Recruitment 2025 : The West Bengal Central School Service Commission (WBSSC) has officially announced a massive recruitment drive for 8,477 non-teaching staff positions in state-run and government-aided schools. This recruitment is being conducted under the 1st State Level Selection Test (SLST), 2025 in compliance with the Hon’ble Supreme Court’s directive in Civil Appeal No. 4800 of 2024, dated April 3, 2025.
The vacancies include 2,989 posts for Group C (Clerk) and 5,488 posts for Group D staff such as peons, lab attendants, and other support staff. With thousands of openings across various districts, this recruitment is expected to significantly strengthen the support system in high schools and higher secondary schools throughout West Bengal.
According to the official notification, the online application process will begin on September 16, 2025 (from 5 PM onwards) and remain open until October 31, 2025 (up to 5 PM). Candidates will also be allowed to submit their application fees online till 11:59 PM on October 31, 2025.
