BSF Recruitment 2025 : The Border Security Force (BSF) has officially released a recruitment notification for 1121 Head Constable (HC) vacancies for the year 2025. Applications are invited for the posts of Head Constable (Radio Operator – HC RO) and Head Constable (Radio Mechanic – HC RM).

  • 12th pass (PCM – Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) with 60% aggregate marks
    OR
  • 10th pass + 2 years ITI Certificate in trades like Radio & TV, Electronics, Computer Operator & Programming Assistant, Data Preparation & Computer Software, General Electronics, or Data Entry Operator.
Head Constable (Radio Mechanic)
  • 12th pass (PCM – Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) with 60% aggregate marks
    OR
  • 10th pass + 2 years ITI Certificate in trades like Radio & TV, General Electronics, Computer Operator & Programming Assistant, Data Preparation & Computer Software, Electrician, Fitter, IT & Electronics System Maintenance, Communication Equipment Maintenance, Computer Hardware, Network Technician, Mechatronics, or Data Entry Operator.

  • Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government Rules.

Selection Process

  1. Phase I – Computer Based Test (CBT):

    • 200 marks | 100 questions | 2 hours

    • Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, General Knowledge, English

    • Qualifying Marks: UR/OBC/EWS – 38% | SC/ST – 33%

  2. Phase II – PST, PET, Documentation & Dictation/Reading Test:

    • PET for Male: 1.6 km in 6.5 min, Long Jump – 11 ft, High Jump – 3.5 ft

    • PET for Female: 800 m in 4 min, Long Jump – 9 ft, High Jump – 3 ft

    • Documentation verification + Dictation/Paragraph Reading Test (for RO posts).

  3. Phase III – Medical Examination (DME & RME):

    • Detailed health checkup as per BSF norms.
