BPSC Recruitment 2025:
Patna, Bihar – The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has formally announced the conduct of the 71st Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Examination. This examination aims to fill a significant number of vacancies across various departments of the Government of Bihar.
According to the notification, a total of 1171 vacancies are listed under the “71st Combined (Preliminary/Main) Competitive Examination” schedule. These vacancies are spread across numerous roles, including Administrative Officer/Deputy Collector, Assistant Registrar/Joint Sub Registrar, Labour Superintendent/Labour Enforcement Officer, Sugarcane Officer, Revenue Officer and equivalent, Supply Officer, Block Panchayat Raj Officer, Block SC/ST Welfare Officer, and District Minorities Welfare Officer. The level of posts ranges from Level-6 to Level-9. In addition to the 1171 posts, 392 posts are also listed for the “Assistant Administrative Officer” role.
To be eligible for these posts, candidates must possess a graduate degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university. Age limits are also specified, generally ranging from a minimum of 21 or 22 years to a maximum of 37 years for unreserved male candidates as of August 1, 2024. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories (SC, ST, EBC, BC) and women candidates, extending the upper age limit up to 40 or 42 years depending on the category. Age relaxation is also available for persons with disabilities.
