Kolkata  – The Indian Ports Association (IPA), acting on behalf of the Kolkata Dock System (KDS) and Haldia Dock Complex (HDC) of Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port (SMP-Kolkata), has announced a direct recruitment drive for various executive level vacancies. This recruitment is based on a draft regulation published in the Kolkata Gazette Extraordinary, pending notification by the Ministry of Ports Shipping & Waterways.

The available positions are at the Entry Level with a Scale of Pay of Rs. 50,000–1,60,000/- (pre-revised scale Rs. 20,600 –46,500/-, pre-pre revised scale Rs. 9,100–15,100/-). The total number of vacancies advertised is 96, with 41 posts specifically listed by discipline and location.

Accounts Officer / Assistant Manager (Finance)

  • Member of ICAI or ICWAI + 2 years’ experience

AEE (Civil) / Asst. Manager (Infra & Civic)

  • Degree in Civil Engineering + 2 years’ experience

Admin/Personnel Posts

  • Degree + PG Diploma in related fields + 2 years’ experience

Traffic Posts

  • Degree + 2 years’ experience in shipping/cargo/railways

Estate Manager

  • Degree in Architecture/Civil + PG in Planning or Law

The maximum age limit is generally 30 Years as on the last date of filing the application for most positions.

The Scale of Pay for these Executive Level Entry Level Vacancies is Rs. 50,000–1,60,000/-. This pay scale is applicable to all the listed Executive Level posts, including those in Finance, Civil Engineering, Administration & Traffic, and Estate Management disciplines.
