The State Bank of India (SBI) has announced a significant recruitment drive for experienced professionals, offering a valuable opportunity to join the country’s largest public sector bank as a Circle Based Officer (CBO). This recruitment aims to fill officer-level positions across various circles in India, leveraging regional expertise to enhance customer service and banking operations.
The Central Recruitment & Promotion Department of SBI has released the official notification under Advertisement No. CRPD/CBO/2025-26/18, inviting online applications for a total of 2,273 vacancies. This includes 2,050 regular vacancies and 223 backlog vacancies for the post of Circle Based Officer.
The selection process is comprehensive and multi-stage, beginning with an Online Examination comprising Objective and Descriptive tests, followed by a Screening process to verify eligibility and work experience. Shortlisted candidates will then be called for an Interview, and the final selection will also depend on qualifying the Local Language Proficiency Test.
For General category candidates, the maximum age limit is 30 years as on 31.12.2025.
