Post Name: The recruitment is for the position of Junior Maintenance & Operator Trainee (JMOT) in the Electrical discipline.

Total Vacancies: There are a total of 100 vacancies available for the JMOT post.

Qualification Required for OPTCL JMOT Recruitment 2025

Essential Qualification: Candidates must have passed HSC or equivalent and hold a National Trade Certificate in Electrician Trade from an institution recognized by SCTE&VT / NCVT.
A minimum of 60% marks is required in the Essential Qualification.
Workman Permit: Possession of a Lineman-MV Permit (with learner permit for Workman-HT) from the Electrical Licensing Board of Odisha (ELBO) is mandatory.

Age Limit for OPTCL JMOT Recruitment 2025

General Age Limit: Candidates must not be under 18 years of age and must not be above 32 years of age as on 01.05.2025.

Age Relaxation:

The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC, ST, and SEBC candidates.
The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for Woman candidates.
The upper age limit is relaxable by 10 years in case of PwBD candidates.

Salary for OPTCL JMOT Recruitment 2025

During the Training Period: Selected candidates will receive a consolidated stipend of Rs. 17,000/- per month. This training period is generally for one year, unless extended.
Pay Scale After Training: They will be placed in the Pay Matrix of Rs. 25,600/- to Rs. 81,200/- (Level: NE-(T)-4). The initial Basic Pay will be Rs. 25,600/-.
