Mumbai, India – Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL), a listed premier Navratna Company under the Ministry of Defence, Department of Defence Production, has announced the opening of online applications for 523 Trade Apprentice positions for the year 2025. The recruitment is conducted under the Apprentices Act 1961 in the MDL – Apprentice Training School (ATS).

Group “A” (10th Class Passed):
- Draftsman (Mech.): 28 seats
- Electrician: 43 seats
- Fitter: 52 seats
- Pipe Fitter: 44 seats
- Structural Fitter: 47 seats
Group “B” (I.T.I. Passed):
- Fitter Structural (Ex. ITI Fitter): 40 seats
- Draftsman (Mech.): 20 seats
- Electrician: 40 seats
- ICTSM (Information Communication Technology System Maintenance): 20 seats
- Electronic Mechanic: 30 seats
- RAC (Refrigeration and Air-conditioning): 20 seats
- Pipe Fitter: 20 seats
- Welder: 35 seats
- COPA (Computer Operator Programming Assistant): 20 seats
- Carpenter: 30 seats
Group “C” (8th Class Passed):
- Rigger: 14 seats
- Welder (Gas & Electric): 20 seats

- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed SSC (10th Class).

Age Limit for MDL Apprentice Recruitment 2025

Group “A” (10th Class Passed)
- Age Limit: Candidates must be between 15 to 19 years old as of October 1, 2025
Group “B” (I.T.I. Passed)
- Age Limit: Candidates must be between 16 to 21 years old as of October 1, 2025
Group “C” (8th Class Passed)
- Age Limit: Candidates must be between 14 to 18 years old as of October 1, 2025.

₹100 + bank charges for General, OBC, SEBC, EWS, AFC.
