APMSRB Recruitment 2025 : The Government of Andhra Pradesh has announced a major recruitment drive for healthcare professionals under the National Health Mission (NHM) and Tele Medicine Hub initiatives. The Andhra Pradesh Medical Services Recruitment Board (APMSRB) has released Notification No. 08/2025, inviting applications for 185 Specialist Doctors and Medical Officers on a contract basis.
According to the official notification, the recruitment includes 30 posts for Specialist Doctors and 155 posts for Medical Officers. Online applications will open on August 25, 2025 and remain available until September 10, 2025 (11:59 PM) on the official website – apmsrb.ap.gov.in.
The vacancies are spread across different categories. General Physicians, Gynecologists, and Pediatricians will be recruited under the Tele Medicine Hub and DEICs program, with attractive monthly salaries ranging from ₹1,10,000/- to ₹1,40,000/-, depending on the posting location (urban, rural, or tribal areas). Medical Officers in UPHCs, UAAMs, DEICs, and Tele Medicine Hubs will receive a salary of ₹61,960/- per month.
Eligibility requires an MBBS degree along with a Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in the concerned specialty for Specialist posts, and valid AP Medical Council (APMC) registration for all positions.
The age limit is capped at 42 years for OC candidates, with relaxations up to 47 years for SC/ST/BC/EWS, 50 years for ex-servicemen, and 52 years for differently-abled applicants.
Unlike many competitive examinations, this recruitment will follow a merit-based selection system. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their academic performance (up to 75%), waiting period weightage (up to 10 marks), and contract service weightage (up to 15 marks), including special consideration for COVID-19 service. Area-based service in tribal, rural, and urban regions will also earn additional marks for Specialist Doctors.
The application process is entirely online, and candidates must upload educational certificates, APMC registration, caste/EWS/disability proof (if applicable), and documents supporting service weightage. The application fee has been fixed at ₹1000/- for OC candidates and ₹750/- for BC, SC, ST, EWS, differently-abled, and ex-servicemen candidates.
