UP Police Constable Recruitment 2026 : Detailed Overview :
The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPBPB) has initiated a significant recruitment drive, aiming to fill numerous vacancies across various departments. This large-scale recruitment is a strategic effort to bolster law enforcement capabilities, enhance public safety, and provide a valuable employment opportunity for the youth of Uttar Pradesh.
The UPPBPB has released the official notification for direct recruitment 2026 to the posts of Constable and equivalent. This recruitment drive aims to fill positions for Constable Civil Police, Constable PAC, Constable Special Security Force, Mahila Battalion Constable, Horse Ride, and Jail Warder. These posts are available for male and female candidates, depending on the role. The entire application process will be conducted online through the official website – uppbpb.gov.in.
The selection process is comprehensive and begins with an offline OMR-based Written Examination. Candidates who qualify will be shortlisted for Document Verification and Physical Standard Test (PST) to check physical parameters. The final stage is the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), which evaluates physical endurance.
As per the notification, the maximum age limit is 22 years for General category male candidates and 25 years for female candidates, calculated as of July 1, 2025.
