Thiruvananthapuram – An opportunity for individuals holding a university degree has been announced by the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences & Technology (SCTIMST). The institute has issued a notification inviting online applications for the post of General Apprentice. The engagement is for a fixed term of ONE YEAR Only, offering a consolidated stipend of ₹9000 per month.

According to the notification, Advt.No.P&A.VI/19/GA/SCTIMST/2025, dated 27.05.2025, the recruitment aims to prepare a panel valid for two years. Currently, there are 28 existing vacancies. These vacancies are distributed across various categories: 16 for Unreserved (UR), 2 for Other Backward Classes (OBC), 6 for Scheduled Caste (SC), including 3 backlog vacancies, 1 for Scheduled Tribe (ST), and 3 for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS). Additionally, one vacancy is reserved for Persons with Disability (PWD) within the Deaf and Hard of Hearing category. The selection process will adhere to the reservation norms of the Government of India.

• Unreserved (UR): 16 vacancies
• Other Backward Classes (OBC): 2 vacancies
• Scheduled Caste (SC): 6 vacancies (including 3 backlog vacancies)
• Scheduled Tribe (ST): 1 vacancy
• Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 3 vacancies
• Persons with Disability (PWD): 1 vacancy is reserved for Persons with Disability of Deaf and Hard of Hearing out of the total 28 vacancies.

Candidates must be qualified required for the SCTIMST General Apprentice Recruitment 2025 is a Degree from a recognized University or its equivalent.

Age Limit for SCTIMST Recruitment 2025

The age limit for the SCTIMST General Apprentice Recruitment 2025 is as follows:

• The maximum age limit is 35 years.
• This age limit, along with other eligibility criteria, must be satisfied as on 01/05/2025.
  Age relaxation is provided for certain categories as per Government of India Orders:
• Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates are eligible for a 5-year age relaxation.
• Other Backward Classes (Non Creamy–Layer) candidates are eligible for a 3-year age relaxation.
• PwD Candidates are also eligible for Age Relaxation as per Govt of India Orders.

The salary or stipend for the SCTIMST General Apprentice position is a consolidated stipend of ₹9000 per month.
